A Few Thoughts
I haven’t really posted anything to Tumblr in a while so, for some reason, I wanted to explain why. I’m not really expecting that anyone will care all that much, but I managed to be lucky enough to get a decent amount of followers within a few weeks and then my content just kind of dropped off.
Sure, I reblog a lot of things and tend to reblog videos I’ve worked on (a lot I know, I know), but I hardly even write comments to those anymore.
Lately work has gotten kind of crazy and, where I used to have a lot of downtime, I don’t really anymore. (“Then how are you writing this post now,” you ask. “Get off my back, I need a break,” I say as I down a scotch and smoke a cigarette in my office. I need to stop watching so much Mad Men) (MARCH 25!)
But when I’m not working, I’ve been trying really hard to write. Mostly 1) new sketches that are some of the videos I’ve been pushing like they help me pay my rent and 2) a feature film script that I’m going to produce this year.
As far as #2 goes, there are a lot of things that seem to be falling in to place that might help me make this happen. It’s getting to the point where if I don’t take advantage of certain situations then it’s on me that it didn’t happen. I’ve been lucky enough to meet various people throughout the last few months that have seem interested in my concept and would be able to help out here and there. I can’t not do it, I constantly tell myself.
Those things, in addition to improv, have really taken up a lot of my time. Don’t get me wrong though, I still come on Tumblr every day, it’s just hard to muster up the mental energy to write.
Having said all that, everyone here is great. Thank you all very much for following me and hopefully I’ll be able to share more stuff from the script soon!
